A microphone hub for connecting up to four Sennheiser SpeechLine microphones and bundling the microphone cables into one, thus significantly reducing the amount of cables required in a TeamConnect conferencing system.
Audio signals from the SpeechLine microphones shall be distributed from the hub to the TeamConnect central unit via a single Cat5 cable while logic signals shall be sent directly from the hub to the TeamConnect combox using a 6-wire cable with a 6-pin terminal connector on each end.
The hub shall be “plug and play” without the need for an external power supply. The hub shall feature four microphone inputs (5-pin terminal) and an audio output (RJ-45) for connecting to the TeamConnect central unit. The pin allocation of the microphone inputs shall be as follows: pin 1: microphone mute control, pin 2: microphone mute status, pin 3: ground, pin 4: audio +, pin 5: audio –.
The hub shall be equipped with two GPIO ports (6-pin terminal): one for connecting to the TeamConnect combox and one for either daisy-chaining a second hub or for connecting an external hook button.
The pin allocation of the GPIO ports shall be as follows: pin 1: microphone mute control, pin 2: microphone mute status, pin 3: on/off hook control, pin 4: on/off hook status, pin 5: 5 V DC power supply, pin 6: ground. The hub shall also have one 7-pin terminal for connecting a global mute button, which shall add a mute capability to Sennheiser in-table mics without mute button. If more than one global mute button is used, they shall be connected in parallel to the same 7-pin terminal and an external 5 V DC power supply must be connected to pin 6 and 7. The pin allocation of the 7-pin terminal shall be as follows: pin 1: 5 V DC power supply (DC OUT), pin 2: microphone mute control, pin 3: red LED, pin 4: green LED, pin 5: ground, pin 6: 5 V DC power supply (DC IN, not used), pin 7: ground (not used).
The microphone hub shall be the Sennheiser SL MIC HUB 1.
